We’ve been busy the last few months readying some of the new features you now see on this site! Sure, there’s a new layout and some snappy graphics, but we’d love to point out some of the cooler features. We hope you enjoy using lunchtaker.com even more!
- Did you know?
The home page features a “Did You Know?” section with some of the questions we’ve come across as we have added items to the site. Some were just plain surprising, so we hope you enjoy answering them and learning more! - My Items, Comments & Ratings
After you sign in, you’ll see links at the top titled “My Items” and “My Comments & Ratings”. They’re a handy way to get back to the things you’ve added! - Add Your Own Item
Speaking of adding things, it’s easier than ever to add your own item. It’s right in the navigation at the top: Add your own item. Just tell us about the ingredients and prep, and we’ll do the rest, right down to the nutrition. You can also send us a picture to put up along with your item!
My Lunches
Last but not least, we significantly overhauled the “lunch” section. After all, it’s a lunch site! At last count, we have 400+ items you can mix and match to make the perfect healthy lunch. You can use My Lunches to do just that…
- Keep your lunch items organized by tag (we tag our own lunch items using our first names, for example)
- Picture a lunch all together! We’ve done just that with our Easy Lunchbox ideas
- Ever wonder how nutrition stacks up? Total nutrition is shown with each lunch, but we also have it available right there on the lunch page for each item. Just hover over the item name – try it now!
- If you want to share your lunch combination with the world, just click “Make Public”. We’ll give it a look, and let you know when it’s shared!
- Share your creation with the world: use our handy Facebook and Twitter links
In Summary
Whew! That was a lot to take in. We’re working on even more features, so stay tuned! Keep those wonderful comments coming, and thank you for continuing to share Lunchtaker with your friends!
